Finding suitable accommodation and delicious food is a top priority in Sin City, although you should avoid the worst all-day buffets in Las Vegas.
Every year, millions of gamblers flock to Las Vegas to soak in its neon shimmer, visit gazillions of casinos, and treat their tastebuds to the best gastronomical delights Nevada offers.
However, there are a few worst all-day buffets in Las Vegas that you would be wise to avoid. Some of these are notorious for their rude staff, dirty crockery and cutlery, and even food that is not that fresh.
According to Tripadvisor and Yelp, here are some of the worst all-day buffets in Las Vegas we suggest you add to your blacklist:
1. Circus Circus Buffet
The Circus Circus Hotel is situated on the Strip. Many years ago, the venue was praised as a classic American all-you-can-eat eatery in the heart of Vegas. However, over the last couple of years, its reputation has nosedived to a mere two stars.
Several customers reported a limited assortment of cold, tasteless, and greasy food that smelled like burned chemicals. Dessert isn’t any better either, with one woman on Yelp even complaining about mould inside her cream puff!
2. Green Valley Ranch Feast Buffet
The Feast Buffet is based in the Las Vegas district of Henderson at the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa. However, don’t bother venturing off The Strip for a visit here. According to Yelp reviews, there’s a minimal selection of food available at the buffet, it’s extremely overpriced, and the quality of the food is questionable. One diner even reported cutting into a bleeding chicken thigh. Another contentious issue is that infants as young as two get charged the full buffet rate.
3. Fiesta Rancho Race & Sportsbook
The Festival Buffet at the Fiesta Rancho Race & Sportsbook offers a selection of global cuisine, including Mexican, American, BBQ, and Chinese dishes. Sadly, every single dish is said to be dire. One woman is said to have spat out a pebble concealed among her beans, while another noted that cockroaches were milling around the salad and soup bars.
4. Excalibur Buffet
Originally opened at the beginning of 1990, The Excalibur Hotel and Casino boasts a reputation that is known across the world. The only issue is that its buffet status is equally renowned for all the wrong reasons.
The sheer fact the casino resort has a restaurant called Dick’s Last Resort raises a few eyebrows. Spend five minutes reading the latest Stratosphere buffet reviews, and a visit to that restaurant around the corner might not seem like such a bad idea after all.
5. The Sahara Buffet
The SLS Hotel and Casino, affectionately still referred to as The Sahara, was renovated in 2014 for US$145 million. Unfortunately, the buffet at the Sahara has not quite managed to move on with the times.
Although the casino resort might be home to excellent restaurants like Umami Burger, Bazaar, The Perq, and Katsuya, the buffet is borderline disastrous. The reviews highlight the hygiene, health, and places the staff go to barf when they suffer from a hangover.
6. Stratosphere Buffet
Stratosphere Las Vegas is a legendary hotel and casino resort that opened in 1996. The resort boasts thrilling theme park rides like X-Scream, Big Shot, and Sky Jump Las Vegas. On the downside, the buffet here is one of the worst all-day buffets in Las Vegas and is more notorious than Floyd Mayweather’s alleged woman-beating antics.
