While Macao is known as the centrepiece of the global casino industry, the city has been focusing more and more on offerings for the entire family.

Macao is the playground for gamblers from far and wide. However, the gambling mecca has not been known in the past as a family-friendly destination.  Nonetheless, this has started to change, mainly because of the slump in the high-roller business, with many local hotels and resorts now focusing on clients with families.

Here are some of the top casinos where entire families can feel right at home:

Galaxy Macau

Galaxy Macau casino has an emphasis on family entertainment. The hotel is host to the world’s largest kids club, with over 60,000 square feet of interactive activities and entertainment for the young ones. The resort also offers educational opportunities for children and has a pool area that includes a kid’s pool, specifically designed for families.

Galaxy also has a massive 180,000 square feet Grand Resort Deck for families. There are programmes and activities throughout the day tailormade for children and their parents. Additionally, the hotel restaurants are child friendly. The resort even boasts a barbershop and a beauty parlour for kids.

Sheraton Cotai

The Sheraton Cotai is somewhat different to other casino resorts on the Cotai Strip. The venue has various playrooms separated by age groups. For example, toddlers can play at the resort’s Little Big Club, designed in line with their needs, with all the equipment being toddler friendly.

The resort also boasts two playrooms and two pools for the older kids.  After a long day of gambling, parents can take their kids to the Jaya Pool or the Sala Pool to wind down. In addition, there are regular shows at the resort specifically choreographed for kids.

Morpheu

Even before you enter the casino, your kids will be spellbound by the architecture of the building. The casino structure looks like it should belong in a Transformers movie. The building has its skeleton on the outside rather than the inside, giving the edifice a feeling of a futuristic phantasy world.

The casino resort boasts 770 rooms and six luxury villas. Three of the villas are equipped with private pools, which is something any child would appreciate. In addition to the luxury accommodation, the hotel has a kids club. Kid’s City is a massive indoor jungle gym, and play area spread over 17,000 square feet of entertainment space. The recently opened hotel casino also has special events specifically designed for families.

The Parisian

The Parisian is kitted out for kids, with a replica of the Eiffel Tower greeting visitors at the entrance to the resort. There is also a shopping area that your tweens and teens will love, with several restaurants being kid-friendly too. Additionally, there are two observation decks on the 7th and the 37th floors, offering spectacular views of Macao and a light show each evening.

Moreover, the resort houses two play areas. The first one is Aqua World – an outdoor water-themed play area. Parents can accompany their kids into the area or drop them off for some adult time. In addition, children can also choose to have fun in the Qube Kingdom, which is a large indoor playroom.

The Four Seasons Cotai

Although the Four Seasons doesn’t have a casino, it is adjacent to the Sands Cotai and the Venetian. Guests have no problem meandering between either of these casinos, and it is worth it since the Four Seasons has ample child entertainment facilities. Of course, one of the best things about the Four Seasons is the in-room entertainment.

Besides the babysitting service, kids can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner from a specially formulated menu for children.  An added bonus is that they get their own toiletries and bathrobes too. There is also an extensive kids’ playroom, as well as a family pool. The Four Seasons Cotai is ideal for adults who want to gamble and want their kids to have fun at the same time.
