Manitoba-based Pollard Banknote continues to expand across the US, with a new contract signed between the company and Minnesota Lottery.
Earlier this month, Pollard Banknote Limited announced that it was signed a mobile convenience app development services contract with Minnesota Lottery. As a result, the Canadian lottery provider will develop a fully functional app for Minnesota Lottery for both Android and iOS platforms.
Pollard Banknote is the primary supplier of lotto services to over 60 lotteries globally, providing these with top-notch instant tickets, Schafer Systems, licenced games, and Fastrak retail merchandising solutions. Its catalogue of services includes a full suite of digital offerings from game apps to iLottery solutions.
New App Developed
Based on its latest contract, Pollard Banknote will develop a mobile app that will offer iLottery services to people in Minnesota. It is expected that the online platform will come with convenience features, such as ticket scanning, GPS lottery retailer locator, along with the info about the Minnesota Lottery and its responsible gaming programme.
The new app will allow lottery players to look up winning numbers from jackpot draws, as well as generate and save digital play slips, which the player can scan later at land-based retailers. By scanning the tickets, players can enter the lottery’s second chance programme, which provides an additional winning chance, cash prizes and other rewards.
Adam Prock, the executive director at Minnesota Lottery, commented that his company is eager to partner with Pollard Banknote to bring the new iLottery app to life. In his words, the app would allow Minnesota Lottery to directly engage with local players while offering them enhanced accessibility to its lotto services.
Byron Peterson, senior director of sales and marketing at Pollard Banknote, said that the company is excited to enter into a long-term partnership with the lottery provider and work on developing the company’s new app. He noted that the launch of this app would be of tremendous importance for Minnesota Lottery to cement its presence within the online gaming market.
