A recent draw of Lotto 6/49 in Ontario has had one of the tickets purchased hit the jackpot.
Lotto 6/49 was in the headlines once again when its sizeable jackpot got grabbed by a lucky ticket holder who purchased the ticket ahead of the draw. The ticket, which was drawn on 22 August, was sold in Ontario and carried with it a cash prize of CA$6 million.
The previous couple of weeks have proven to be very generous when it comes to lottery prizes. The most recent prize winner has one year to contact the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation to claim the prize.
Lotto 6/49 Lives Up to Expectations
22 August proved to be a lucky day, even though the prize was relatively small. The random combination drawn was 19, 25, 34, 36, 40, 43, with the bonus number being 32. The jackpot winner had to match all of the six main numbers to become eligible for the main prize.
Shortly following the draw, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation disclosed that the ticket with this combination had been purchased, without revelling the exact point of sale. The corporation will reveal further details of the ticket location should no one come up and claim their prize soon.
Players who have recently taken part in this draw have been urged to doublecheck if they have any tickets lying around that they have not yet verified against the winning combination.
Lotto MAX Keeps on Giving
In tandem with the Ontario draw, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation has revealed that a ticket that was purchase in the province is eligible for a CA$1 million Lotto 6/49 prize. This lucky winner will also have 52-weeks to come and claim their prize.
