After almost a two-year hiatus, Casino Rama will once again permit live entertainment at its event centre from 1 January 2022.
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment recently revealed that live entertainment events would return to Casino Rama’s event centre. As it stands, live entertainment is scheduled to recommence on 1 January 2022 and will feature a riveting repertoire featuring rescheduled performances from last year and some new ones too.
It’s been a while since Casino Rama’s entertainment centre welcomed its last guests. The venue had been closed since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Despite the casino renewing operations this summer, live shows remained banned. Now, the province has given the green light for entertainment performances to resume.
Updated Live Events Calendar
Casino Rama has published its latest live events calendar, with several rescheduled 2020 shows returning, alongside some new ones. The casino has reassured everyone that purchased tickets are refundable, should anyone not be able to attend the new date. Tickets for all shows will go on sale from 20 November at noon.
Comedian Russell Peters will commence the season on 7 and 8 January at the 5,000-seat venue. The much-loved Canadian Gemini Award actor, stand-up comedian, producer, and DJ will bring his Act Your Age world tour to the stage, with tickets going for CA$75. The first concert at the casino in 2022 will be performed by Air Supply, with the band scheduled for 14 and 15 January.
Orillia native Gordon Lightfoot will take to the stage for one night on 21 January. The tickets for this colourful folk lyrics performance range from CA$73 to CA$107. The Price is Right live show will come to the casino on 11 February and will feature a celebrity host, allowing fans to play games like The Big Wheel, Plinko, Cliffhangers, and the Showcase. The audience will also stand a chance to win some prizes.
Casino Rama’s exciting live show calendar will also feature many more well-known names from the entertainment world. In 2022, patrons can expect performances from The Irish Rovers, the Beach Boys, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Martina McBride, Michael Bolton, Melissa Etheridge, Ringo Starr, Ice Cube, and many others.
