The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has entered into a partnership with NFL, becoming the league’s first sportsbook partner in Canada.
It’s been a productive week for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), with a new agreement being inked between the company and NFL. According to the deal, OLG will become NFL’s first sportsbook partner in Canada, with its PROLINE brand becoming the league’s official sportsbook and retail lottery middleman in Ontario.
The OLG is a Crown agency that oversees land-based gaming facilities, sales of Ontario’s lottery games, online gaming, bingo, and other electronic gaming products. Its PROLINE and PROLINE+ brands reinvest their entire proceeds in the province of Ontario and the quality of life of the locals.
Five-Year Agreement
Dave Pridmore, chief digital & strategy officer at OLG, noted that the Crown corporation is excited to announce its partnership with NFL. Through this partnership, PROLINE will become the only platform through which Ontarians can place legal, single-event bets, with more Super Bowl betting options being made available through retail outlets and via PROLIFE+. According to Pridmore, the partnership will further enhance the sports betting experience for local gamblers.
The five-year deal will give Ontario sports fans added variety when it comes to betting on their preferred sporting events. The partnership will include engaging football content delivered via OLG.ca and NFL digital platforms, as well as unique PROLINE & NFL events and promos for in-person and digital wagering.
Days before Super Bowl LVI commences, PROLINE has launched new and exciting novelty bets for its bettors. Options include the longest touchdown, first coach’s challenge, MVP for the final, and pre-match coin toss winner.
The OLG is also starting a weekly online sports video series titled Game Plan to create excitement over the upcoming game. The first episode premiers on 9 February 2022 and is set to feature quadruple Super Bowl champion and NFL legend, Joe Montana, as a special guest. The show will provide news on the upcoming final and allow fans to gain more insight into the game.
