Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has briefed the public on its ongoing construction project in Delta, British Columbia.

Earlier this week, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment gave an update on the construction of its casino property in Delta, British Columba.  According to the gaming conglomerate, the construction of its CA$87 million casino property is progressing well, with the opening planned for the end of 2022.

The gaming venue, situated at the former Delta Town & Country Inn site, will feature a 40,000-square-foot gaming floor, over 600 slot machines, and 30 game tables.  Additionally, the patrons will have Atlas Steak + Fish Restaurant, Match Eatery & Public House, and The Buffet should they wish to grab a bite.

Construction Advancing

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment spokesperson, Tanya Gabara, commented that the work on the exterior and interior of the casino is advancing while conforming to the health and safety regulations.  According to her, the construction is going according to plan, with the company continuing to monitor the situation and ensuring a safe environment for workers and the community.

Gabara explained that the project’s exterior features, like a sweeping porte-cochere, are already visible.  Additionally, the provider’s signature eateries, The Buffet and Match Eatery & Public House, are also starting to take shape inside.  She also shared that the data and electrical infrastructure and the cash cage installations have been completed.  At the same time, the construction of the Glacier Bar and the raised floor gaming area starts soon.

However, Gabara did not provide an exact date of the grand opening, saying only that it should be revealed in the upcoming months.  She explained that it is still too early to discuss the date, as the venue is still in construction.  The company continues to focus on the recovery of its other properties, some of which were closed due to the unprecedented situation.

Gabara concluded by saying that the company will shed more light on the grand opening of the casino to the public in the upcoming months.  In her words, with the news of the date, the company will also announce its recruitment programme for the property, which is set to make hundreds of new jobs available to the local community of Delta.
