A Tavistock couple nearly missed a massive CA$50 million Lotto Max jackpot, which is bound to change their lives forever.
A Tavistock couple, Christa and Chad Breyer, became Canada’s latest lotto millionaires when they were drawn as winners of the Lotto Max jackpot worth CA$50 million. The pair won the draw that took place on 16 March. The Breyers nearly missed their prize after leaving their winning ticket in their car’s cupholder for an entire week.
March 16 Draw
Upon receiving their Lotto Max cheque worth CA$50 million, Chad Breyer shared that the ticket was in his car for an entire week without being locked. The 41-year-old father of two said that both he and his wife could not believe their eyes after seeing the winning amount on the screen. The family plans to buy a new house and travel whenever it becomes safe to do so again.
The Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation also sent out a notice that there hasn’t been a winning ticket for last Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 jackpot of CA$6,5 million. No winner means that the draw on 31 March will have a larger pot up for grabs, amounting to CA$9 million. However, there was a winner of the guaranteed one-million-dollar prize who resides somewhere in Ontario.
Additionally, there’s been a winner of the CA$15 million Lotto Max jackpot from Edmonton. The lucky winner’s numbers matched the digits from Friday’s Lotto Max draw. Currently, the lotto player’s name is unknown, although they have 52 weeks to claim the jackpot prize.
The Crown Corporation reminded that the 24 March Lotto 6/49 prize winner has still not claimed their winnings. That winner is from Sooke and is yet to contact the lottery. The number for the winning ticket is 14891179-01.
Noelville Winners
Previously, the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation announced that a Noelville couple won a CA$70 million Lotto Max jackpot. As persistent lottery players, Marc and Dorothy-Ann Meilleur were exhilarated to see their ticket drawn as the winning one on 26 February.
March 13 Lotto 6/49 draw
Lotto 6/49 has also been generous recently as a Quebec resident won CA$27 million during the 16 March Lotto 6/49 draw. The winner’s name has not been revealed, but the Crown Corporation reminded the lucky player that they have plenty of time to claim their prize, thanks to the 52-week deadline.
