BetMGM to Introduce Wheel of Fortune Online Casino

BetMGM, in cooperation with International Game Technology and Sony Pictures Television, plans to launch a Wheel of Fortune-based online casino.
BetMGM announced this week that it has entered into an agreement with International Game Technology (IGT) and Sony Pictures Television for the launch of a brand-themed digital casino. Through the partnership, BetMGM has gained the rights to launch an online casino based on the popular Wheel of Fortune game show. This year marks the 40th season anniversary of the much-loved TV show.
BetMGM is a leading sports wagering and gaming entertainment company. The brand is the fruit of a collaboration between Entain Plc and MGM Resorts International. This year, the company launched its services in key online markets such as Ontario and New York.
Writing History Together
As a result of the agreement with International Game Technology and Sony Picture Television, BetMGM will launch a first-of-its-kind brand-focused online casino based on the Wheel of Fortune game show. Over the past 25 years, Wheel of Fortune has inspired over 250 versions of slot games. The new online casino will be yet another addition to the show’s brand.
Matt Prevost, chief revenue officer at BetMGM, said that the sportsbook is proud to partner with Sony Picture Television and its Wheel of Fortune show, followed by millions of viewers daily. Prevost promised that when the gaming offering goes live, it will bring great opportunities for players with their favourite game show and real money prizes.
Suzanne Prete, executive vice president of game shows at Sony Pictures Television, commented that the TV conglomerate is pleased to collaborate with BetMGM for the launch of its first online casino under the Wheel of Fortune brand. Prete added that, as the show celebrates its 40th season, the company is excited to offer everyone’s favourite game in a new way.
Enrico Drago, director of digital and betting at IGT, shared that his team is proud to be part of the Wheel of Fortune brand evolution with BetMGM and Sony through the launch of the innovative new online casino. Drago concluded that IGT would continue to seek new ways to leverage its home-grown and third-part brands with new operating partners.
